Accessibility Statement
Prime Lift Rigging Academy LLC · Last reviewed August 31, 2026
Prime Lift Rigging Academy wants every rigger, signal person and craft professional to be able to read about our classes, check dates and book a seat on this website, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We are committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box we checked once.
1. What we have done
- Structure: pages use semantic HTML with one main heading, ordered heading levels, landmarks and labeled navigation, so screen readers can move through them.
- Keyboard: every link, button, menu, accordion and form step can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, and focus is visible.
- Images and video: meaningful photos carry text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. Classroom videos are muted background footage and carry no spoken content.
- Contrast and text: body text and controls meet WCAG AA contrast ratios on our dark backgrounds, text is real text (not images of text), and pages reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide.
- Motion: the site respects your system's "reduce motion" setting. When it is on, background zooms, scroll effects and fades are turned off.
- Forms: booking and contact fields have visible labels, autocomplete hints, clear error messages, and nothing is time-limited.
- Language: pages declare their language, and our Spanish page is marked as Spanish so it is read correctly.
2. Known limitations
Some parts of the site come from third parties, and their accessibility is outside our direct control:
- Google Maps embed on the home and contact pages. The address, hours and phone number are always provided as plain text next to the map.
- Payment pages hosted by Stripe, Klarna and Afterpay. If you cannot complete a payment there, call the office and we will hold your seat and take payment by phone.
- The chat widget in the corner of the page. Everything it can answer is also available by phone, email or the FAQ page.
If you find anything else that does not work for you, we want to know. See section 4.
3. Accommodations for classes and assessments
Accessibility does not stop at the website. If you need an accommodation for a class or an NCCER assessment, such as extra time, a reader, or help getting around our Portland, TX training center, call (361) 213-9690 before your start date and we will work it out with you. Accommodations for NCCER written assessments follow NCCER's own policies, which we can walk you through.
4. Tell us what is in your way
If any page, form or document on this site is hard for you to use, contact us and tell us which page and what happened. We aim to respond within two business days and to fix genuine barriers, not just acknowledge them.
- Phone: (361) 213-9690, Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM Central
- Email: primelift26@gmail.com
- Mail: Prime Lift Rigging Academy LLC, 1605 US Highway 181 Frontage Rd, Suite A, Portland, TX 78374
5. How we check
We review the site with automated tools (Lighthouse and axe), by keyboard-only navigation, and with screen readers on desktop and mobile, and we re-check after significant changes. This statement is updated when the site changes in ways that affect accessibility.
