Advanced Rigger · Recertification
CredentialComing Due?
NCCER rigger credentials are valid for five years. When yours is coming up, get it renewed here in Portland before it lapses and costs you a gate pass.
01The Format
Don't Let It
Lapse.
Your NCCER Advanced Rigger credential is good for five years from the date it was issued. Contractors check the NCCER Registry, and an expired credential reads the same as no credential.
If you are already working as a rigger and you know the material, you do not have to sit through the course again. Come in, take the written assessment and the hands-on practical, and the renewal goes on the Registry. Retests are scheduled by appointment so we can work around your shift.
If it has been a while and you would rather go back through the material first, take the refresher. That is the full Advanced Rigger course in day, night or weekend format, ending in the same test-out.
What's included
- Written assessment $275, hands-on practical $275
- $550 in total to retest, with no class time to sit through
- Scheduled by appointment, around your shift
- Refresher option: the full Advanced Rigger course, $1,000
- Renewal recorded on the NCCER Registry
